Liberty Village is the place to be. Situated close to the diverse Queen West, King West, and Niagara neighbourhoods, Liberty Village is a neighbourhood in and of itself and has its own amazing perks. The district is bounded by King Street West to the north, the Gardiner Expressway to the south, Dufferin Avenue to the west and Strachan Avenue to the east. Though with a titillatingly sordid history, recent developments have brought about a quasi-suburban sense of community, making Liberty Village a sought after residential area of Toronto.

One of the LibertyVillage’s perks is that it is situated right by two public transportation routes. Residents of Liberty Village can choose from the east-west King Streetcar, which connects to the Yonge-University Spadina subway line to the east, and the north-south Dufferin bus, which connects commuters to Dufferin subway on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Motorists are also in luck, with easy access to the Gardiner Expressway and wider network or Toronto highways.

There is also much to discover within LibertyVillage itself. The neighbourhood is home to Suzanne Gardner Flowers, one of Toronto’s best floral shops. Another creative and beautiful aspect of the neighbourhood is the lovely outdoor art gallery, created by Paul Wsymyk. Wsymyk is a Liberty Village resident and painted this space to reflect the neighbourhood’s bursting energy and creativity.

Liberty Village also is home to a number of amazing restaurants. Liberty Village dwellers should check out the international cuisine at School, Italian food at Bar Vespa, and classic Canadian food at Poutini’s for some of the best food the city has to offer.

Liberty Village is certainly the place to be!
